Every family has their own Mother’s Day celebration traditions whether it’s having mom over for an appreciative meal or taking a nature walk followed by tea or coffee. Whichever way you choose to celebrate Mom, chances are that they involve spending time together in the same space. Upholding these traditions may prove to be difficult this year because most social distancing requirements may still be in place. Maybe we can see this as an opportunity to create new traditions. Here are some ways to celebrate Mother’s Day while respecting social distancing:
SCHEDULE AN ONLINE MOTHER'S DAY GET-TOGETHER WITH LOVED ONES
Facetime and Zoom are popular applications that can be used. It’s important that everyone involved is familiar with the application. So take the time, preferably a couple of days before the meeting to check that everyone is comfortable with the chosen application and walk them through it if they are not.
SEND MOM A THOUGHTFUL GIFT WHILE ENCOURAGING LOCAL BUSINESS
ARRANGE FOR A FLOWER DELIVERY AND A THOUGHTFUL NOTE
Who doesn’t love flowers? Many florists are still taking orders and offering no contact delivery. So call your local florist and schedule a delivery - ahead of time!
